Pulsed multichannel spectrometric tool PIMS-76
Designed to determine geological material composition, element weight content, first of all, carbon and oxygen content, by recording gamma ray spectrum of inelastic scattering and radiative capture of neutrons, induced by pulsed neutron generator.
Applied in wells with open or cased hole with any circulation fluid type.
Active tasks:
- assessment of current oil saturation factor (C/O logging);
- determination of water intrusion intervals;
- lithologic sectional layering.
Probe is equipped with a compartment to install pulsed neutron source (generator) and with gamma radiation scintillation detector.
