Borehole geophysical instrumentation and logging tools

RPE Energiya, LLC (ООО «НПП Энергия») manufactures and develops geophysical instrumentation and logging tools. Borehole geophysical instrumentation is developed using pulsed neutron generators.

  • Carbon-oxygen logging instrumentation;
  • Lithologic logging instrumentation and logging through neutron lifetime for operation on drill tool.

Triple Combo LWD is specially designed to provide fully compensated azimuthal readings of neutron porosity, compensated density and effective atomic number, Pe and borehole caliper image.

LWD172-2NNL-LDGGL-3GR tool (172 mm size) designed for the neutron, lithodensity and gamma-ray logging while drilling. The logs were recorded in the self-contained mode (saved to the tool memory). In addition to the LDGGL and NL channels, a 3GR one was introduced. Three scintillation detectors for the azimuth-directed recording of the natural radioactivity of the rock (in both rotary drilling and sliding) were mounted at 120º from the tool axis.
